Creating & using API Keys

API Keys are required to use Vouched SDKs and APIs. To create or recreate keys, click Keys in the Dashboard menu.

Only one of each key type can be active at a given time. Recreating a key will immediately invalidate the previous key.

NOTE: Please do not create any Sandbox keys. This feature is deprecated. For testing options, please reach out to [e-mail]

Key types

Key Type	Used With	Additional Info
Public Key	JS Plugin and Mobile SDKs	Used for submitting jobs via user facing SDKs.
Private Key	Crosscheck, AML, DLV & SSN APIs	Used for submitting API jobs and other API operations.
Signature Key	Webhooks	Used for security sensitive backend operations.

Group Keys

You can create a separate set of keys for each group. This allows you to use a different key for each use case or interface you integrate with (such as your web app or mobile app).

Please note: Group Keys can only be used to create new jobs. To perform any other actions, please use the main account API key or consider using a sub-account instead.
