As an administrator of your Vouched account, the Users page lets you create new users, assign permissions, and manage access to your organization's dashboard.
Watch a walkthrough of navigating to Settings > Users and inviting a new team member.
How to Add a New User
Follow these steps to invite a new user to your Vouched Dashboard:
- Navigate to the Users page under the Settings section of the Dashboard sidebar.
- In the Users window, enter the new user’s email address, first name, and last name.
- Choose which permissions the user should have (see the permissions table below).
- Click Invite User. The new user will receive a welcome email from Vouched with instructions for setting up their account.
Understanding User Permissions
When adding a new user or modifying an existing user, you can assign the following permissions:
| Permission | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Review | Allows the user to review verification jobs and their results. |
| Files | Allows the user to download PDF reports of verification jobs. |
| Admin | Allows the user to manage other users and API keys. |
| 2FA | Requires the user to use Two-Factor Authentication when logging in. The user will need to scan a QR code with an app like Authy. |
| Group | Assigns the user to a specific group within your account (optional). |
Recommended Permission Sets
For review-only users: Review Files 2FA
For admin users: Review Files Admin 2FA
Disabling a User
If you need to revoke a user’s access to the dashboard, you can disable their account instead of deleting it. When the Disabled checkbox is selected for a user, that user will be blocked from signing in.
First-Time Login Instructions
After you invite a new user, they’ll need to complete a few steps to access the dashboard for the first time:
- Look for an email from support@vouched.id. The subject line will include “Access the Vouched ID Verification Dashboard.”
- Click the link in the email to create a password and log in.
- If required by your organization, the user will need to set up a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) app. See the section below for details.
- For all future access, bookmark app.vouched.id.
Follow the steps a new user takes from receiving the invite email to logging in for the first time.
Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
If your organization requires 2FA, users will be prompted to set it up during their first login. Here’s how it works:
- Download and install a 2FA application from your phone’s app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). A popular option is Authy.
- Follow the instructions in the app to add the Vouched dashboard — usually by entering a code or scanning a QR code image shown on screen.
- Once set up, you’ll be prompted to enter the six-digit code generated by the 2FA app every time you log in to the Vouched dashboard.
Watch how to connect a 2FA app and use it to log in to the Vouched dashboard.
